Dr. Carlos Sanchez finished his Bachelor Degree in Medicine in 1992, with an extraordinary award for their qualifications. After completing his studies and receiving his medical degree, he worked for one year in the Spanish armed forces as a 2nd Lieutenant Doctor. He did his Fellow in Pediatric during 1995-1998 in Cadiz University Hospital and the last year as Allergic Pediatric Fellow in University Hospital “La Fe” in Valencia and 3 months in St Thomas Hospital London.

During his first years as a doctor, he was a Consultant Hospital Pediatric in Spain, and later, in 2008, he was appointed Head of Pediatric Allergy Department at the University Hospital of Cádiz, in southern Spain.

During the years 2008 to 2019, he developed the first pediatric allergy unit of the hospital and began to carry out desensitization techniques in children with food allergies, especially cow’s milk and hen´s eggs, managing to cure cow’s milk allergy to 75 children and 25 children with an egg allergy. These techniques are currently widely used in Spanish hospitals with a 90% cure success.

Dr. Carlos Sanchez has also been an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Cádiz School of Medicine for over 10 years, president of the Andalusian Society of Pediatric Allergy and member of the Joint Board of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Allergy and Asthma for 4 years. He was part of the experts committee in severe asthma that advises several world laboratories as well as the Spanish authorities and for 4 years he has been the director of the Spanish group of pediatric anaphylaxis publishing the first guide to action for children with anaphylaxis.

He is currently accredited as a pediatric allergist by the Spanish Society of Pediatric Allergy and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Advanced level Quality by the Government of Andalusia, MBA in Allergy by IE Business School in Madrid, Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association and Pediatric and Neonatal Advanced Life Support by the Spanish Society of Pediatric Intensive Care.

Among his publications, he has written more than 25 articles in multiple medical journals, book chapters and has been invited to give lectures around the world in addition to being part of several editorial committees of scientific magazines.

At King´s College Hospital London, Dr. Carlos Sánchez, in addition to treating patients with general pediatric problems, is one of the leading doctors for prick test techniques for allergic patients, pulmonary function test for asthmatic patients and child with food and drugs allergies.
