Dr. Ismail Abbara is a German Board Certified (Facharzt) Consultant Urologist and Andrologist with nearly 45 years of experience in managing highly complex cases in urology and andrology.
Having completed his education in Germany and Egypt, he began his career at Frankfurt University Hospital, followed by a host of fellowships between the UAE and Germany. Dr. Abbara brings an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience in Endourology, Andrology, Uro-oncology, and Renal Transplant.
Dr. Abbara has particular expertise in penile prosthesis implantation, having successfully performed over 550 procedures over the course of 38 years. His clinical practice focuses on managing a wide spectrum of urological and andrological conditions using medical, endoscopic, laparoscopic, laser, and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Abbara is a part of various boards, associations, and medical societies across the world:
- He is currently the Head of Educational Committee, Board Member, and Former Secretary-General of Pan Arab Continence Society (PACs).
- He has served as Co-Chairman of the 6th Emirates International Urological Conference and the 28th World Congress on Videourology and Advances in Clinical Urology.
- He is a former Lecturer of Urology at Dubai Medical College, Co-Founder and former Head of the Scientific Committee of the Emirates Urological Society, and has held leadership roles within regional and international organizations.
Recognized for his expertise, Dr. Abbara has authored articles in medical journals and was awarded by the Emirates Urological Society in 2012.
