Dr Kerolos Barsoum is an Egypt-trained Specialist General Surgeon with nearly two decades of experience and expertise in General Surgery, minimally invasive proctology, and laser treatment of anal diseases.
Before joining King’s, Dr Kerolos served as a lecturer of General Surgery at Kasr Al Ainy at Cairo University, Egypt. He specialised in minimally invasive proctology at Swift Day Surgery and was a Consultant of General and laparoscopic surgery at Cairo University Hospitals. He furthered his expertise as a Consultant of coloproctology at Hemocure Clinic Egypt and as a Consultant of General and Colorectal Surgery at Elrahma Hospital, Egypt.
Dr Kerolos received his medical degree (MD) and a Master’s degree in General Surgery from Cairo University. He also achieved membership in the Royal College of Surgeons, England. He completed his residency in General Surgery and also served as a House Officer at Kasr Al Ainy- Cairo University Hospitals, Egypt. Recognized for his excellence in academics, Dr Kerolos holds memberships of multiple prestigious institutions, which underline his dedication and mastery in his field.
