Dr Khusro Shamim is a General Practitioner at King’s College Hospital’s Emergency Department. He has over ten years’ experience providing high quality emergency care to his patients.
Prior to joining the team at King’s College Hospital, Dr Shamim completed his MBBS from Sindh Medical College, University of Karachi. He then joined The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, to undertake his post-graduate medical education and complete his training in emergency medicine. Later, he completed his membership exam in Emergency Medicine from The Royal College of Emergency Medicine, UK, before gaining his board certification in Emergency Medicine from the European Society of Emergency Medicine.
His specialism are emergency radiology and critical care, and he agrees with William Osler’s claim that “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” He always puts the patient first, tailoring the treatment to suit their specific needs.
Dr Shamim loves to read and cook in his spare time and is also learning to play the guitar.
