Dr. Menna Farouk is an enthusiastic Specialist Paediatrician with 18 years of experience in the paediatric field and a proven record of success in paediatric emergency medicine. In 2004, she acquired her MBBCH degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University, Egypt. She further pursued Master of Science in paediatrics from Ain Shams University, Egypt and subsequently completed Master of Science in Paediatric Emergency Medicine from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
During the beginning of her career, she practiced in renowned hospitals in Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2011, she moved to UAE, where she undertook various roles including Senior Specialist Registrar of Paediatric Emergency, Dubai Hospital, Dubai Health Authority, a clinical tutor of Paediatric Emergency Medicine in Dubai Medical College and a Co-Director of Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Dubai Health Authority.
She is highly efficient in managing all the paediatric cases presenting to paediatric emergency department with special interest in pediatric critical care and resuscitation. She is also certified in Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Paediatric Emergency from Sickkids Hospital, Toronto, Canada. Besides her clinical expertise, she is an Instructor of Paediatric Advanced Life Support- American Heart Association.
Dr. Menna was also actively involved as a volunteer during Covid-19 pandemic in Dubai Field Hospital and founded Dubai’s First Isolation Centre.
