Dr. Rory has over 17 years’ experience in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery having trained in the NHS in London teaching hospitals along with other numerous teaching hospitals in major cities in England, Europe, Canada and the USA. He qualified from both St. Mary’s (Imperial College London) and St. George’s Hospitals (University of London) in 2001 and 2002 respectively with bachelor’s degrees in Medicine, Surgery and Surgical Sciences (First-Class honours).

He is English board certified passing the Fellowship Examination (FRCS) in Plastic Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013. In the same year he was awarded a prestigious postdoctoral Plastic Surgery Research Fellowship at Stanford University, California. His research focused on tissue engineering using fat stem cells and platelet rich plasma (PRP) and studying the changes that occur during the facial ageing process in terms of bone and soft tissues. Concurrently, he successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare management from an NHS leadership award. This provided first hand complex healthcare systems management with strategic and operational governance experience through multiple NHS improvement projects with Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, USA.

On his full-time return to England, he completed further consultant level fellowship training in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery, Laser and non-surgical anti-ageing treatments (all aspects of dermal fillers and Botox) and microsurgical breast reconstruction at the world-renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London.  As a result, his experience is extensive and ranges from multi-region reconstructive surgery (after cancer, trauma and burns) to all aspects of aesthetic surgery and non-surgical treatments. In recent years, his personal interest has focused on aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, non-surgical rejuvenation and the wider medical aesthetic arts.

He is an innovator and embraces new evidence based scientific methods and technologies to serve his cosmetic and reconstructive patients better each year. He is teaching faculty and an international Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Allergan plc. As such, he travels globally teaching doctors anatomy and cutting-edge techniques through live treatment demonstrations to promote injection safety worldwide. Patient safety, achieving the highest possible standards of care and exceptional outcomes focusing on natural results are key priorities for Dr. Rory when seeing patients.

Dr. Rory has practiced in Dubai since 2016 and one of his passions is to bring world class breast cancer reconstruction using patients’ own tissues (DIEP flaps) for reconstruction to the MENA region.

His personal philosophy is that aesthetic and reconstructive surgery should be a very positive and life-enhancing event for every patient. It is vital however that patients are made fully aware of the expected outcomes, recovery and potential risks.
