Her Excellency Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum Visits Advanced Parkinson’s Research Centre King’s College Hospital London Dubai
The visit comes within the framework of the special care that Her Excellency Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum takes to patients in general and Parkinson’s patients in particular in the spirit of social responsibility delegation led Her Excellency Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors – Sawaed Al Khair Association, accompanied by Parkinson’s Patients (Friends of Parkinson’s) UAE founder, Mr Huzaifa Ibrahim visited Parkinson’s Centre Kings College Hospital London Dubai, to meet & greet Mrs Deeksha Raja, a patient with Advanced Parkinson’s disease who was wheelchair bound flown from London to Dubai, underwent innovative lifesaving infusion device aided therapy at Kings College Hospital London Dubai.
Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum said: ‘I had the pleasure of visiting King’s College Hospital London Dubai and see what was accomplished for Parkinson’s patients by Dr. Vinod Metta and his team. Glad to see Mrs. Deeksha’s recovery and to see her practice normal life with help of her Neurologist and her daughter Mrs. Rina ..’ She also added: ‘A mighty effort, we stand helpless faced with the challenges that patients and doctors face as treatment difficulties. Looking forward to have another meeting with Mrs. Deeksha to celebrate the return to her life again.’
Mr Huzaifa Ibrahim, Founder of FOP UAE stated he is delighted to see how Mrs Raja’s quality of life improved & as a Parkinson’s patient & patient of Kings College Hospital under Professor Ray Chaudhuri and Dr Vinod, when I first started uniting Parkinson’s communities in UAE, it was just me now with support of Almighty and our wise Leaders, we’ve managed to firm a forum uniting patients across the UAE to bring awareness of this disease. This visit initiates the vision of alleviating the suffering of Parkinson’s patients and surrounding them with more attention and attending to their moral needs to overcome what they are going through and to encourage them to integrate into society.
