Blood in urine (haematuria) does not always signify serious disease, but it can be an important warning sign of problems in the kidneys or urinary tract. Haematuria may present as pink, red or brown coloured urine, which is called \u2018gross haematuria \u2018or blood may be found in urine during a routine urine exam but the urine is not visibly pink- this is called microscopic haematuria.<\/p>\n

There are many causes of haematuria, most of them benign, however, bloody urine should never be ignored.<\/strong><\/p>\n
