King’s is pleased to launch our Walk in Fracture & Sports Medicine Clinic, open 5 days a week, Sunday to Thursday between 8am to 10am.
Our clinic has a dedicated area within our Emergency Department and is headed by Dr Gwynne Howell, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King’s with over 19 years’ experience in lower limb surgery, trauma and soft tissue surgery.
What type of symptoms might I have?
- Loss of motion in your knee, legs, hips
- Swelling and bruising
- Noticeable decrease in stability
What could be the cause?
Sports injuries are very common, and the discomfort you are feeling could result from:
- Fracture/break in one or more bones
- Sprain / damage to ligaments that could range from small tears to a complete tear or rupture
- Inflammation of tendons
- Sunday – 8am to 10am
- Monday – 8am to 10am
- Tuesday – 8am to 10am
- Wednesday – 8am to 10am
- Thursday – 8am to 10am
