Augustine Amusu is Chief Information Officer of KCH Healthcare UAE. He joined King’s College Hospital in 2016 where he is responsible for technology strategy, innovation and creating a differentiated technology offer for the group. Augustine has over 20 years’ experience in Information, Communication & Technology, with specialization in Healthcare IT innovations.
Prior to this assignment, he was with NYSE listed HCA Inc. the largest private healthcare group globally. As Head of Clinical & Business Technology for oversees operation, Augustine was responsible for technology strategy and programme execution. He spearheaded multiple initiatives utilizing technology to transform clinical and business operations as well as supporting HCA’s multiple Joint Venture initiatives – some of these JV’s include: The Wilmslow Hospital, The Christie Hospital Manchester, The Shard Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, Platinum Medical Center, Manchester Institute of Health and Performance etc.
From prior experience within the Venture Capital industry, Augustine led multiple investment transactions within the Mobile payment and Health IT verticals and continues to mentor and serve in advisory capacities.
Augustine holds a degree in Systems Engineering (1st Class) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College, London. He is fortunate to have been nominated for multiple U.K. national awards and holds both the prestigious Laing and Buisson and Health Investor Awards for Innovation.
Augustine is married with 3 children. He spends his spare time mentoring Healthcare Technology ventures, enjoys running and spending time with family.
