Ms. Bushra Alshammar is a Physiotherapist at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai. She has extensive experience across musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, women’s health, and post-operative rehabilitation settings, and brings a holistic perspective to her practice. Ms. Alshammar completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Gulf Medical University and received both the DHA Scholarship and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Distinguished Students Scholarship. Her clinical training has included inpatient, outpatient, neurological, musculoskeletal, pediatric, women’s health, and rehabilitation settings, giving her broad exposure to a wide range of patient needs.
Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, therapeutic exercise, gait and balance rehabilitation, manual therapy, and pain management. She has further enhanced her skills by completing certifications in Dry Needling and Clinical Taping and has experience with electrotherapy modalities including TENS, ultrasound therapy, and shockwave therapy.
Alongside her clinical training, Ms. Alshammar has contributed to research in women’s health, including a study exploring urinary incontinence among female university students in the UAE. She is particularly interested in evidence-based physiotherapy, patient education, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, and helping patients achieve meaningful, long-term improvements in movement and quality of life.
