LiveGen Clinical Genetic Screen– a comprehensive, proactive screen using whole genome sequencing, giving insights into predispositions for chronic and rare diseases. This will help you make lifestyle changes based on your unique genetic make-up
Advanced STD Panel- comprehensive testing to give you peace of mind over your intimate health. The Panel includes Chlamydia Trachomatis, Mycoplasma Genitalium and Hominis, Neisseria, Ureaplasma Urealyticum and Parvum, HSV I and II HIV, Hepatitis B & C and Syphilis
Fibroscan- Fatty liver disease has become a potential threat, with nearly a third of the population of the UAE affected. Fibroscan gives a clear picture of the health of the liver and accurately predicts the level of fibrosis, so that appropriate treatment can be started to prevent progression to chronic liver disease
Heavy Metal Screen- Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic and other can be harmful to health if present in elevated amounts. The increasing environmental pollution as well as rising Mercury levels in sea food have highlighted the importance of monitoring heavy metals exposure in overall health and well being.
Whole Body MRI- King’s is the first hospital in the UAE to offer whole body MRI as a screening modality to look for cancers in the entire body. This is particularly valuable for any individual who has a family history of cancer or is concerned about cancers, as it provides a non-invasive imaging of all the organs, tissues and bones, enabling early detection of potential cancers.
Bone Density Scan- Recommended for women experiencing peri- menopause/ menopause and men over 60 years of age. Bone Density Scan or DEXA Scan is a specialized imaging test, used to measure the density of your bones and assess the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis.
CT Colonography/ Colonoscopy– For assessing colorectal cancer risk, CT Colonography or Colonoscopy are highly recommended. HAAD suggests undergoing a colonoscopy every ten years starting from the age of 40. At King’s, we provide a non-invasive CT Colonography option, which is a specialized imaging technique to examine the entire colon and rectum for polyps. Additionally, traditional colonoscopy, conducted by a gastroenterologist, involves the insertion of a camera-equipped tube to inspect the colon’s health, with the added benefit of polyp removal during the procedure.
