Ms Lyndal Cordaro, having made her impactful entrance into the King's community in 2022, carries an extensive background in nursing and midwifery leadership. Her sterling career of over 25 years is deeply rooted in Australia's private and public healthcare sectors. Her legacy includes a transformative tenure as Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer for five public hospitals and ten primary health centres at Central West Hospital and Health Service in Australia. This period of profound influence has culminated in her receiving an Adjunct Associate Professor title from the Centre for Rural and Remote Health, James Cook University. Ms Cordaro further boasts a rich 12- year experience as a Company Director and is a recent alumnus of the esteemed Australian Institute of Company Directors. Before her association with King’s, Ms Cordaro spearheaded Australia’s first Mental Health Crisis Stabilisation Service as Project Director.
She brilliantly fused capital and operational aspects, ultimately demonstrating a successful proof of concept service now poised to extend its reach across Australia.
Her academic achievements include a nursing degree (BA Nursing) from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, post her professional training at the acclaimed Princess Alexandra Hospital and midwifery training at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Committed to patient safety and quality, she expanded her qualifications by earning a Juris Doctor Law Degree, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Studies, and a Certificate in Mediation at Bond University, leading to her admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and a subsequent stint practising law in Australia.
