Dr. Sanjeev is a Consultant Adult and Pediatric Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon with more than thirty years of experience. Parents often describe him as someone who puts them at ease right away. He speaks calmly, explains things simply, and has a reassuring way of making children feel safe, even when they’re worried about what’s going on. He cares for patients at King’s College Hospital London, where he sees everything from everyday spine issues to very complex neurological problems.

He studied medicine at the University of Manchester and graduated in 1992. After that, his training took him to several major hospitals in the UK, France, and the United States. He completed fellowships at Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris and Montefiore Medical Center in New York, then went on to train in pediatric neurosurgery in Oxford. Those years gave him a lot of hands-on experience with adults and children, and they shaped the thoughtful, steady approach he uses with families today.

Since 2003, Dr. Sanjeev has been part of the neurosurgery team at King’s College Hospital London and Evelina London Children’s Hospital. Over the course of his career, he has performed more than five thousand major operations. He treats a wide range of conditions, including pediatric brain and spinal tumors, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus, back and neck pain, and many other neurological issues that affect children and adults. He also helps expecting parents when scans show that their baby may have a brain or spine concern, guiding them through the diagnosis in a clear and compassionate way.

He’s also known for his experience with neuroendoscopy, a minimally invasive technique that’s often helpful for children. He teaches other doctors, speaks at international meetings, and runs hands-on training courses in the UK. His work has been published widely, and he continues to share what he has learned with surgeons from around the world.
