Dr Ane is a Spanish Board-certified Consultant Neurologist with expertise in managing various Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders such as tremors, Dystonia and Ataxia. She also has extensive experience treating Multiple Sclerosis patients with disease-modifying therapies, treating acute strokes, performing brain and cervical ultrasounds, and tailoring treatments like Botulinum toxin injections for migraine, facial spasms, Cervical Dystonia, hyper-salivation or multiple cranial nerve blocks for chronic facial and head pains.
Before joining King’s, Dr Ane served as the Head of the Department in Burjeel Hospital and Emirates Hospital Jumeirah and played a crucial role in establishing their Neurology Department. She graduated from the University of Basque Country (UPV) in Spain and earned her Doctorate for Research at the University of Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Movement Disorders and Dementia. She completed her specialist training in Neurology at the Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol in Barcelona and Movement Disorders specialization at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. She is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society, European Academy of Neurology and Spanish Neurology Society.
