Daire Catherine Murphy is a licenced Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC in the UK, DHA in Dubai and DOH in Abu Dhabi. She is also certified by the UK Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Her clinical experience spans adult and paediatric populations, including acute care, rehabilitation, ENT, geriatrics, ICU, critical care, oncology, palliative care and long-term care.

She is also experienced in assessing and treating speech sound and language disorders in paediatric groups, having worked with children in school, outpatient clinics and home settings. In her previous roles, she has also facilitated staff Dysphagia training/ awareness sessions within the hospital and family/ carer education and training to ensure safe discharge.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Ulster University in Northern Ireland and has worked as a Specialist SLT in Northern Ireland and the UAE. Since graduating, she has continued to develop her clinical practice, obtaining certifications in a variety of Specialist training areas, including management of Dysphagia (swallowing disorders), treatment of voice disorders and care of tracheostomised and ventilated patients.
