Dáire Murphy is a Senior Speech and Language Therapist at King’s College Hospital, Dubai. Dáire established and leads the Speech and Language Therapy Service at King’s and provides assessment and therapy for adults and children with communication and swallowing disorders. She has extensive experience across acute, outpatient, and educational settings. She received her bachelor’s degree from Ulster University in Northern Ireland and has worked as a Specialist SLT in Northern Ireland before relocating to the UAE.
Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of areas, including both children and adults, with a focus on developmental speech and language delays, autism spectrum conditions, and voice and neurological impairments. She also has experience working with critically ill populations, including tracheostomy and dysphagia management, and provides specialist treatment for progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and motor neurone disease.
Before relocating to Dubai, Dáire worked within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland, supporting adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, as well as children with speech, language, and phonological difficulties.
Dáire is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care that empowers individuals and families to communicate confidently and achieve meaningful progress at every stage of life.
