Dr. Babar Bashir Chaudhri is a British surgeon with over 32 years of experience in cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgery. He has been in clinical practice since 1992 and currently works as a Consultant Cardiac, Thoracic, and Transplant Surgeon and Professor of Surgery.

Dr. Chaudhri has an impressive clinical background, having performed over 6000 adult cardiac surgical operations and more than 2500 major thoracic operations across Europe, the UK, India, and the UAE. His experience also includes over 100 heart and lung transplants and extensive use of mechanical circulatory assist devices, including LVADs and ECMO. Dr. Chaudhri studied Medicine at the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded his BA, MB, BChir, and MA, and later completed an MD through the University of London as a British Heart Foundation Research Fellow. His surgical training spanned prestigious institutions in London, Scotland, Newcastle, Harefield Hospital, Freeman Hospital, and MHH Hannover in Germany. This comprehensive training prepared him for a distinguished career in cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgery, with super-specialization in aortic, mitral, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, and heart and lung transplantation.

Dr. Chaudhri is a UK board-certified surgeon with CCT in Cardiothoracic Surgery and is on the General Medical Council UK Specialist Register. He holds fellowships with the American College of Surgeons, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai.
