Dr. Bratislav Spica is a Serbian board-certified General Surgeon with extensive experience in upper gastrointestinal care. Most of his work has focused on conditions of the esophagus and stomach, including both benign and malignant diseases, as well as reconstructive procedures for more complex cases.
Before joining King’s, he worked in major private hospitals in Dubai and previously spent several years at the First Surgical University Clinic within the Clinic for Digestive Diseases at the Clinical Centre of Serbia in Belgrade. That role exposed him to a large volume of upper digestive surgery and gave him broad experience with advanced gastrointestinal cases.
Dr. Bratislav received his medical degree from the Medical School of Belgrade University. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the First Surgical University Clinic in Belgrade, where he trained in the Department for Upper Digestive Surgery and passed the Serbian board certification exam.
He has written several publications in well-known surgical and gastroenterology journals. He has also served as a reviewer for respected peer-reviewed journals, including the European Journal of Surgical Oncology, World Journal of Surgical Oncology, Surgery Today, and the World Journal of Gastroenterology.
