Dr Guy Chung-Faye is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive knowledge across his speciality. His main NHS UK base is at King’s College Hospital, a London Teaching Foundation Hospital and Academic Health Sciences Centre. He is friendly, approachable and offers a holistic treatment approach to patients.

He is Clinical Lead in Upper GI (oesophageal & stomach) Cancer and Bowel Cancer Screening at King’s College Hospital London and a member of the IBD team. He is a nationally accredited Colonoscopist in the Bowel Cancer Screening programme and has a high colonoscopy completion rate of over >95%, high polyp detection rates and high levels of patient comfort.
He was awarded a PhD in “Gene therapy strategies in colon cancer” in 2002 and has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals and written several book chapters. He is active in research and clinical trials in Inflammatory bowel disease and genetics.
He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology & European Crohn´s and Colitis Organisation. His special interests are: irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), functional bloating, dyspepsia & peptic ulcer disease (indigestion), inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease & Ulcerative colitis), coeliac disease, advanced endoscopy diagnostic & therapeutic (upper GI & colonoscopy), colon (bowel) cancer Screening, chronic constipation, gastroenteritis
