Dr Hammad Bajwa is a UK-trained Consultant Endocrinologist with over two decades of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of a broad spectrum of endocrine and metabolic disorders. He is recognised for delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care and has particular expertise in diabetes, endocrine disorders, and metabolic health.

Dr Bajwa completed his specialist training in Endocrinology and Diabetes in Birmingham, UK, following an MBBS from Pakistan. He has also completed postgraduate training through the Royal College of Physicians (UK) with CCT in Endocrinology & Diabetes.

His areas of expertise include Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, insulin pump therapy and diabetes technology, thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer, pituitary and adrenal diseases, reproductive endocrinology, metabolic bone disease and osteoporosis, hyperlipidaemia, obesity, and weight management.

Prior to joining King’s, Dr Bajwa served as Consultant Endocrinologist and Clinical Lead for Diabetes at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley, West Midlands, UK. He subsequently joined Habib Medical Group, Saudi Arabia, where he established and led a comprehensive insulin pump service before relocating to the UAE.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Bajwa has played an active role in clinical research and quality improvement. He has served as Principal Investigator for international multicentre clinical trial in diabetes and has presented his work at leading international endocrine and diabetes conferences.

He has made significant contributions to NHS quality improvement initiatives and development of regional NHS clinical guidelines and care pathways. His work in healthcare quality improvement was recognised with the prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award in 2017.

Dr Bajwa served as an Educational Supervisor and Mentor for Endocrinology trainees in Birmingham, UK, where he trained and supervised specialist registrars and fellows. In recognition of his sustained contributions to medical education and specialist training, he was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Endocrinology at Gulf Medical University, UAE.
