Dr. Imran Jawaid is a consultant ophthalmologist trained in the UK, with a focus on pediatric eye care and strabismus. He has over 15 years of experience in the United Kingdom, caring for children with many different eye conditions and for adults with strabismus and complex eye movement problems. He uses his clinical skills to help protect and improve vision for his patients, especially during childhood and as they grow older.

Dr. Jawaid graduated with honors from the University of Leicester School of Medicine in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). Before studying medicine, he became a qualified optometrist with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 2003. He finished his ophthalmology training in the UK, earned his Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), and received his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Ophthalmology in 2020.

After his specialist training, Dr. Jawaid completed an advanced fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, one of the top pediatric centers in the UK. Before moving to King’s College Hospital Dubai, he worked as a consultant ophthalmologist and head of ophthalmology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, a major center for specialized eye care.

He has also contributed to ophthalmology textbook chapters and taught at several UK medical schools.
