Dr. Ithar Alkheder is a Syrian Board-certified specialist in ophthalmology with over 13 years of experience in both regional and international settings. He offers complete eye care for adults and children, and is skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, such as retinal diseases, cataracts, glaucoma, and vision problems in children.
Dr. Ithar received his medical degree (MD, MBBS) from the University of Aleppo and went on to complete a Master’s in Ophthalmology. He became board certified in ophthalmology by the Syrian Board Authority in 2011. He also earned a Diploma in Pediatric Optometry and Ocular from Isabel University in Spain and completed specialized training in medical retina at Aleppo Eye Surgery Hospital in Syria.
During his career, Dr. Ithar has worked at top medical centers in Syria and the UAE. He focuses on evidence-based care and puts patients first. His wide-ranging experience helps him treat both simple and complex eye conditions for people of all ages.
