Prof. Ubaid Shah is an Australian-trained Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, providing specialised tertiary-level neurological care for infants, children, and adolescents across Dubai and the wider region.

Prof. Shah completed his medical degree (MBBS with Honours) followed by postgraduate training in Paediatrics (MD, DCH). He obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatric Neurology and further advanced his expertise through a Fellowship in Paediatric Epilepsy. Since beginning his medical career in 2005, he has accumulated over 18 years of post-specialisation experience in the management of complex and refractory neurological disorders in children.

Internationally recognised for his expertise in childhood epilepsy, Prof. Shah has extensive experience in treating diagnostically challenging and high-acuity neurological cases, including neuro-immune, neuromuscular, and neurodevelopmental conditions. His clinical approach focuses on early diagnosis, precision-based treatment strategies, and family-centred care, particularly in conditions where timely intervention significantly influences long-term neurological and developmental outcomes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Prof. Shah has held senior academic and leadership roles, including Regional Program Director for the DHA/DCMGE Paediatric Residency Program. He currently serves as Adjunct Clinical Professor at Gulf Medical University, reflecting his strong commitment to postgraduate medical education, clinical governance, and the training of future paediatric specialists.
