Deepa Nundkumar is our Occupational Therapist in Dubai. She has more than 10 years of experience where she worked in various acute and rehabilitation settings as well as therapy centres in South Africa, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
Deepa earned her Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy degree from University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, 2008. She completed her community service at Mosvold Hospital in South Africa in 2009. She went on to work in private paediatric therapy centres in South Africa based in Johannesburg and Durban. Deepa then moved to a more acute state hospital setting at Stanger Hospital, South Africa, 2011. In 2012 she had the opportunity to work at the Armed Forces Hospital Programme Southern Region in Khamis Mushayt, for 2 years. Deepa was responsible for starting the occupational therapy services at this hospital. During her 2 years in KSA she completed her Masters in Early Childhood Intervention though the University of Pretoria, 2014. On return to South Africa in 2014 she worked as a lecturer, clinical and academic supervisor for undergraduate occupational therapy students from year 1 to year 4 of study, at her Alma mater the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She then moved to Entabeni Rehabilitation Unit run by the Life Healthcare group and worked there from 2016 to 2019. She moved to Dubai in 2019 and was responsible for founding and establishing occupational therapy services at Q Enrichment Therapy Centre.
