Dr. Abdullah is a US-trained and licensed clinical psychologist with extensive clinical exposure in the field of medical psychology. He is currently the Head of Psychology at Mubadala Health Dubai and provides clinical services at Danat Al Emarat Women & Children’s Hospital in Abu Dhabi, both under Mubadala Health.Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), UAE.
Previously, Dr. Abdullah worked at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Primary Care Psychology Associates (PCPA) in Chicago, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and Al Jalila Children’s Hospital.
In addition to his general mental health practice for children, families, and young adults, he completed a fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, gaining experience in various medical clinics. His clinical expertise extends to the following multidisciplinary team (MDT) clinics: Sleep Clinic, Diabetes Clinic, Headache Clinic, Nephrology Clinic, Limb Reconstruction Clinic, Cochlear Implant Team, Heart Transplant Team, Kidney Transplant Team, and Trauma Clinic.
Dr. Abdullah earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York, Binghamton, and completed his master’s and Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. He completed his internship in Pediatrics at Primary Care Psychology Associates (PCPA) in Chicago and a fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He was also a Division 54 Section of Pediatric Psychology International Committee board member.
