Dr Ibrahim Abd Elrahman is a well-known Consultant Gynaecologist and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon. He grew up and trained in the UK and possesses around decades of progressive and solid clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. His main interests are advanced laparoscopic surgery including fibroids, endometriosis, prolapse, and repair of structural abnormalities.
Dr Ibrahim completed his medical degree from National University of Ireland (NUI) and obtained his MB BS, LRCP&SI from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 1991 and his MRCOG in 2000. Subsequently in 2005 he completed his specialist training (CCST) and obtained accreditation of minimal access surgeries from RCOG. Later he obtained the BSCCP Accreditation and FRCOG in the year 2007 and 2016 respectively.
Dr Ibrahim relocated to UAE from the UK with his family in 2008. He has been serving with various reputed hospitals in UK including Hammersmiths and Queen Charlottes Hospitals and the Royal Marsden Hospital.
In Addition to his clinical practices, Dr Ibrahim Abd Elrahman was chairman of the Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Subcommittee. He is also Asst. Professor in Mohamed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) and was training coordinator in Obs and Gynae for MBRU students in Mediclinic Middle East. He has been and continues to be involved in clinical research programs and publications.
He is keen and enthusiastic in CME programs and has presented at local and international conferences. He is often considered a tertiary referral for surgery of complex gynaecological cases as well as performing case reviews from many facilities.
