Dr. Ida Amir is an experienced UK-trained ENT Consultant specialising in Otology, Neurotology, and hearing implants. She graduated from Manchester University and completed her Otolaryngology training in Scotland, where she obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). She undertook a year of advanced Fellowship in Otology, Neurotology, and Cochlear Implants in New Zealand.
Before relocating to the UAE, Dr. Amir served as an NHS ENT Consultant in Glasgow, which houses the largest ENT unit in the UK. She successfully re-established the Otology service in North Glasgow and was the Otology lead for the region. Additionally, she is a GMC-accredited trainer, supervising the training of registrars and teaching at temporal bone dissection courses. Dr. Amir is also a faculty member for FRCS exam courses.
Dr. Amir is passionate about clinical research and holds an MSc in Clinical Trials. She has been actively involved in various clinical research projects, collaborating with UK clinical trial units and universities. She was recently a Principal Investigator in the UK-wide STARFISH trial for the Glasgow trial unit.

- Benign or malignant tumors of the ear and lateral skull base
- Preauricular sinus excision
- Balance, dizziness, vertigo, and related surgeries
- Balloon Eustachian tube dilatation
- Intratympanic steroid or gentamicin injections
- Adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy
- Rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, and related surgeries
- Septoplasty and turbinoplasty
