Dr Parthi Srinivasan is a UK Board Certified Consultant Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeon with great clinical exposure, and currently Clinical Lead for Liver and Pancreatic at the King’s College Hospital, London, UK.
His expertise includes Living Donor Liver Transplantation, Surgery for Liver and Pancreatic cancer, Laparoscopic Liver and Pancreatic Surgery, Allo and Auto Islet Cell Transplantation. In addition, Dr Parthi is the Clinical Lead for Organ Utilisation and Islet Cell Transplantation at King’s College Hospital London. He has performed more than 1000 complex Liver and Pancreatic cancer surgeries, and more than 800 liver transplants.
Dr Parthi was born and educated in India. He obtained his medical qualifications from the Madras Medical College, University of Madras in 1989. He then trained in General Surgery in the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom respectively. He was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow in 1993. After completion of Higher Surgical Training as a Calman Registrar in North London and the Inter-Collegiate Fellowship (FRCS-Gen Surg) with sub speciality interest in Transplantation in 2003 he was entered into the list of Specialist Surgeons held by the Medical Council of the United Kingdom. In January 2006, he was appointed to the post of Consultant Surgeon in the field of liver transplantation, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London.
Dr Parthi has more than 150 publications in peer reviewed journals, and has reviewed articles for eminent Transplant and HPB journals.
