Dr Sophia Shamshad is a UK-trained Family Medicine Consultant. London born, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Queen Mary University of London in 2010.
Dr Sophia then went on to gain experience in a number of specialities including Accident and Emergency, Geriatrics, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Gynaecology as part of her hospital training. She obtained MRCGP in 2015, and is subsequently a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK.
Prior to joining King’s Dubai, she was the lead clinician for clinical governance in a Central London NHS Practice, where she gained a wealth of experience. She continues to practice at the NHS in London, keeping herself up to date with current evidence-based guidelines.
Dr Sophia possess a natural ability to engage with her patients and colleagues as well as the ability to break down complex medical problems, offering patient-centred solutions using her ethos and knowledge.
Outside of medicine she is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys playing regular competitive racquet sports.
