JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERY
Joint replacement surgery, also known as arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure that is mostly used to replace knee and hip joints. This happens particularly when the joint surfaces have been damaged due to a number of reasons, and are replaced with metal or plastic implants.
The main goal of a joint replacement surgery is to improve the function of that particular joint, and to get rid of any pain or discomfort that is associated with the damage to the joint surfaces.
Our orthopaedic doctors specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries as well as degenerative conditions affecting the hip and groin, including carrying out total hip and knee replacements for the treatment of arthritis and revision hip replacement when earlier surgery has not been successful, or has undergone deterioration. We also treat adductor-related groin pain.
